Judy Peters is a paediatric clinical and research nurse who has worked in paediatric pain management at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust for more than 20 years.

She has successfully completed Masters degrees in Pain Management and in Clinical Research.

Her roles within the Pain Control Service have included Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lead Nurse for the Service, and currently, Senior Research Nurse in the Mroue Fateh Centre for Pain Management on the PIIPeR project, evaluating the feasibility of recruitment to a randomised trial offering access to a paediatric chronic pain rehabilitation programme.

Her interest in research has involved her in studies with Professor Suellen Walker, Principal investigator in the UCL GOS ICH Paediatric Pain Research Group, including: exploring sensitivity and specificity of a neuropathic screening tool (Self-Report Leeds Assessment of Neuropathic Symptoms and Signs, S-LANSS) in adolescents with moderate-severe chronic pain, and phenotyping peripheral pain in adolescents by means of pain descriptors, somatosensory profiles, conditioned pain modulation and child reported disability.
