Sarah Mills is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, where she works within the paediatric service supporting children and young people with spinal cord injury.

With nearly two decades of specialist experience in paediatric spinal cord injury care, Sarah brings extensive clinical expertise to her role. She plays a central role in the delivery of holistic, family-centred care, working directly with patients and their families across the rehabilitation pathway.

In addition to her clinical work, Sarah leads the service’s transition pathway, supporting young people as they move from paediatric to adult services. She has developed and implemented structured transition processes and resources, helping to ensure continuity of care and improved patient outcomes during this critical period.

Her clinical interests focus on bladder and bowel management, and she is actively engaged in service development and small-scale research to advance best practice within paediatric spinal cord injury care.
